Recapping Our L.A. Premiere (and Announcing A Film Festival Screening)
We’re back with a few quick announcements we wanted to share. We’ll start with a recap of our recent Los Angeles premiere.
Successful Premiere in the City of Angels
First things first, we want to give a big thank you to everyone who came out to support our Of Minor Prophets premiere in Los Angeles this past weekend. The film showed in front of a packed house and received fantastic response when it was all said and done.
It was really exciting to see the film through the eyes of a West Coast audience. In the end, all the things we had built into the film hoping to elicit a certain response got the exact response we were hoping for, which was great.
After the screening, we held a Q&A with Joe and several members of the Of Minor Prophets cast, including lead actors Cora Vander Broek and Kris Kling and co-stars Kimberlee Soo, Matthew Brumlow and David White. The Q&A lasted about 45 minutes and featured a fully engaged and participatory crowd. Great questions, fun answers and just an all-around good atmosphere.
To wrap up this recap, we want to be sure we thank Los Feliz for their fantastic support in helping us host this event. The theatre and staff were really accommodating, and everything looked and sounded fantastic.
We’ll include some photos from the L.A. screening at the bottom of the post.
Upcoming Screening at the Sioux Empire Film Festival
We’re also excited to be showing Of Minor Prophets on Sunday, April 10th at the Sioux Empire Film Festival in Sioux Falls, SD. OMP is the closing film of the event on Sunday, which means we’ll screen at 5 PM. There may also be a Q&A after the film.
The film festival is being hosted at the Orpheum Theatre, which is where we hosted our Sioux Falls premiere last year. We had heard from a good number of friends and filmgoers last year that they were disappointed that they missed the opportunity to see the film. If you’re one of those people, the Sioux Empire Film Festival is a new chance to check it out on the big screen in Sioux Falls.
Whether you’ve seen the film already or not, we hope you’ll be able to make it out to the festival to see Of Minor Prophets on Sunday evening! We’ll have full details and more content about the film festival coming soon. For now, you can buy tickets here.
